Back in May, we announced the partnership between Fikalab, Critical Software and Coimbra Polytechnic to develop an innovative solution for students.
The challenge was to find a way to encourage recycling in universities, specifically Coimbra Polytechnic, and to ensure people are able to offer preloved items to others in a Covid-safe way.
This contributes towards a circular economy, encourages sustainability, and provides a channel via which students from disadvantaged backgrounds can receive help.
And guess what?
The collaborative project between Fikalab, Critical Software and Coimbra Polytechnic took home first prize! Congrats, team!
The winning team will now compete nationally (with all the polytechnics) and are also entered into the Poliempreende, an entrepreneurship contest for polytechnics students.
Can’t wait to see what comes next!
